Cannot log into MS Vista Business edition getting "Initialisation of the key negotiation process failed with the following error:null". error when i try

Can log in under safe mode, have run SFC nothing found, tried restoring to a previous estore point but none listed in the options the machine is HP Compaq nc6320. going to try and do a repair as soon as i can get a copy of Vista Business. ps i am using this machine off network. and it has been working prior to this error coming up. one other thought i have had could it be a windows update that may have caused the problem? if this is in the wrong forum i apologise.Hoping you can helpRoy
